In May 2018, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (BSH) approved the use of innovative mono bucket foundation structures for two of the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm’s turbines, allowing Northland Power to proceed with a commercial pilot of suction-bucket foundations at the site in Germany’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
