Description
China’s Xian Electric partnered with Damco Energy on the Santorini (Thira) substation contract for Cyclades Interconnection Phase D, associated with the Naxos–Thira AC link. Xian Electric’s role covers design support and the supply and integration of high-voltage GIS and associated substation systems for the new 150 kV/20 kV GIS substation on Santorini. The company contributes to equipment engineering, factory supply, and technical support during installation, testing and commissioning, enabling the new substation to connect the submarine Naxos–Thira cable into the Hellenic transmission system.
