TERNA was named provisional winner in an IPTO tender for the development of high-voltage substations on the islands of Folegandros and Milos, as part of Cyclades Interconnection Phase D that links Serifos, Milos, Folegandros, Thira and Naxos to the mainland grid. TERNA’s package covers two new 150 kV GIS onshore substations, providing the design, supply of major substation equipment, and turnkey construction and commissioning. These substations form key nodes in the southwest Cyclades transmission loop that ultimately connects through Thira and Naxos into the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System.
