Cyclades Phase D: Serifos–Milos 150 kV HVAC three-core XLPE AC submarine and underground cable system between Serifos and Milos, part of Lavrio–Serifos–Milos interconnection (Section A).
Hellenic Cables was awarded a turnkey contract by IPTO for the cable section of Section A of Cyclades Interconnection Phase D, covering the Lavrio–Serifos and Serifos–Milos 150 kV AC links. The scope includes design, manufacturing and supply of three-core 150 kV XLPE submarine and underground power cables and accessories, as well as installation, laying, mechanical protection, jointing, terminations, and final testing and commissioning. Within this package, Hellenic Cables is responsible for the approximately 46.7 km submarine Serifos–Milos inter-island cable and about 7.5 km of associated 150 kV underground cable on Milos that connect into the new 150/20 kV GIS substation. The total Section A contract is valued at about EUR 195 million for roughly 170 km of onshore and offshore cable, integrating Serifos and Milos into the Hellenic Transmission System as part of Cyclades Phase D.
