Cable Installation Start

Cable installation for the Cyclades Interconnection Phase D Lavrio–Serifos interconnector commenced around October 2023. ABL Group’s case study for the Lavrio–Serifos and Serifos–Milos interconnectors lists a project start date of October 2023 and describes ABL providing marine warranty survey (MWS) services for cable loadout, shore-end pull-in, offshore laying, offshore jointing and lay burial (including jetting and trenching). Operations were conducted using assets such as CLV Ariadne, TSV Argo, jetting ROV Assojet III and Trencher Assotrencher IV, across two offshore support vessels and four onshore sites, indicating the offshore cable installation campaign for the Lavrio–Serifos link was underway from that time.
