By early 2020, IPTO completed the upgrade project replacing the existing oil‑filled submarine cables on the Evia–Andros and Andros–Tinos links with new submarine cables, finalising the strengthened interconnection with Evia under Cyclades Phase B and ensuring reliable transmission of power from Evia to the interconnected Cyclades.
