Supplier for Cyclades Interconnection Phase B : Andros - Tinos - Naxos
Cyclades Phase B 150 kV HVAC submarine interconnector between Andros and Tinos, replacing an older oil-filled cable with a new ~4 km, ~200 MVA link.
IPTO awarded Prysmian Group a contract for the second phase of the Cyclades submarine interconnection covering the Evia–Andros and Andros–Tinos 150 kV AC links. Under this project, budgeted at €21.2 million, Prysmian supplied and installed new high‑voltage submarine power cables to upgrade the existing circuits and increase transfer capacity along the North Power Supply Corridor. For the Andros–Tinos section, part of the Cyclades Interconnection Phase B, Prysmian’s scope formed part of the construction phase and involved manufacturing and laying approximately 4 km of 150 kV HVAC submarine cable to replace the older oil‑filled system and reinforce the connection of the Cyclades islands to the Greek mainland grid via Evia.
