In 2018, IPTO began construction works for Phase B of the Cyclades Interconnection, which includes the Cyclades Interconnection Phase B Andros - Tinos - Naxos project. The works comprise construction of the 150 kV GIS substation on Naxos, laying of submarine cables connecting Naxos with Paros and Mykonos, and installation of new higher-capacity 200 MVA transmission lines at the Evia–Andros and Andros–Tinos interconnections, under a €72 million programme scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.
