In 2018, IPTO completed the tender for upgrading the Euboea–Andros and Andros–Tinos interconnections and signed a contract with Prysmian to supply and install new 150 kV AC submarine cables with a nominal capacity of 200 MVA, replacing the existing oil-filled cables as part of Cyclades Interconnection Phase B and the reinforcement of the Andros–Tinos link.
