By May 2018, IPTO had completed Phase A of the Cyclades interconnection—a 150 kV radial link from Lavrio to Syros with onward connections to Paros, Mykonos and Tinos—so that the island loads were supplied by the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System, bringing the Syros–Tinos cable into full commercial operation as part of the overall system.
