First (western) 150 kV HVAC three-core submarine cable between Peloponnese and Crete plus related underground connections in Peloponnese.
FULGOR was contracted by IPTO S.A. during the construction phase of the Crete–Peloponnese interconnection to deliver the first (western) 150 kV HVAC submarine link between Peloponnese and Crete and the associated underground connections on the Peloponnese side. For the offshore scope, FULGOR manufactured approximately 135.7 km of three-core submarine power cable forming one of the two parallel AC circuits connecting Chania and Neapoli. Onshore, the company supplied and installed the underground transmission cables linking the landfall to the new substation infrastructure in southeast Peloponnese. The combined submarine and underground package was valued at about €140.2 million, with contracts signed on 27 November 2018 and commissioning targeted for 2020.
