The Crete–Peloponnese "small interconnection" entered commercial operation on 1 November 2021, with its launch coordinated with the start of Crete’s hybrid market participation model, marking the commercial go‑live of the first AC power link between Crete and mainland Greece following completion and trial operation of the 150 kV, 2×200 MVA interconnector.
