Arup supported Cerulean Winds’ North Sea Renewables Grid programme, including the INTOG lease bid submissions for the Aspen, Beech and Cedar floating offshore wind farms. Cerulean Winds appointed Arup to set up and run the project management office (PMO) and provide owner’s engineer-style support, including project initiation and design management, technical strategy and oversight, and integration with supply chain partners. Arup also led development of regulatory submissions and supported grid-connection related submissions and engagement, referencing Ofgem processes and coordination with the UK system operator (NESO) to improve the likelihood of timely grid connection for the NSRG projects.
