In April 2026, the Scottish Ministers opened a public consultation on additional environmental information for the Aspen Offshore Wind Farm’s Section 36 and marine licence applications. A formal notice announced that EIA Additional Information covering offshore ornithology, marine mammals and blue carbon was available at several local libraries and online, and invited written representations on the proposed 1,000 MW project to be submitted by 28 April 2026.
