The Centre Manche 1 HVDC grid connection, a ±320 kV symmetrical monopole HVDC Light system with 1,250 MW transmission capacity linking the AO4/AO8 offshore wind farms to the Menuel onshore network, is planned to be commissioned in 2031, marking the start of full commercial operation of the transmission system supplied by Hitachi Energy for RTE.
