Rovco was contracted by Flotation Energy to carry out a geo-environmental survey for the planned 1.4 GW Cenos floating offshore wind farm, around 200 km off northeast Scotland. Rovco deployed the DP2 survey vessel Glomar Supporter to acquire geophysical and benthic data to support environmental impact assessment (EIA) consenting and to inform engineering and early FEED. The survey scope included multibeam echo sounder, side scan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler, and multi-channel seismic acquisition, with associated processing, interpretation, and reporting, covering the wind farm array and parts of the export cable route and anchor and substation areas, including UXO identification elements.
