Description
Electrical Oil Services (EOS) was engaged by Christof Industries as a subcontractor on the Celtic Interconnector project to carry out oil filling and treatment of large Siemens power transformers for the onshore converter stations. Working in Brittany in 2025, EOS filled and processed approximately 75,000 litres of new insulating oil per transformer and performed multiple circulation and vacuum cycles to achieve the required purity and drying levels. The transformers are destined for use in the converter stations at La Martyre in France and Knockraha in Ireland, and EOS’s work formed part of the installation and commissioning phase of the HVDC converter equipment.
