Fugro is scheduled to begin a geotechnical survey campaign at the Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm site in the outer Moray Firth in May 2026, with the survey vessel RS Alegranza expected on site no earlier than 9 May 2026 and Fugro Synergy joining from 12 May 2026. The campaign will deliver downhole cone penetration tests (CPT), seismic CPT and PS logging from RS Alegranza, plus borehole sampling from Fugro Synergy, characterising seabed soils across the ~429 km² ScotWind NE4 site to support detailed design and turbine positioning for the 2 GW Ocean Winds (EDPR/ENGIE) project. The geotechnical phase follows the geophysical campaign that ran with Fugro Pioneer and Kommandor Iona from 19 February 2026, with the project's own current-works log noting a combined geophysical/geotechnical phase from WNoO 7 (week of 2 April 2026) onwards.
