Fugro's geotechnical survey campaign at the Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm array area in the outer Moray Firth is planned to run until approximately 19 August 2026, concluding around 3.5 months of seabed soil characterisation across the ~429 km² ScotWind NE4 site. The campaign deploys RS Alegranza (downhole CPT, seismic CPT, PS logging) from 9 May and Fugro Synergy (borehole sampling) from 12 May 2026, with the resulting soils data feeding directly into detailed foundation design and turbine positioning for the 2 GW Ocean Winds (EDPR/ENGIE) project. Completion of this geotechnical phase will close out the 2026 offshore site investigations programme that began with the Fugro Pioneer / Kommandor Iona geophysical surveys on 19 February 2026.
