Caledonia Transmission is planned to deliver first electricity from the Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm to the National Electricity Transmission System around 2030, coinciding with the Phase 1 grid connection. This initial energisation will use the offshore export cable circuits, Onshore Export Cable Corridor, and new onshore substations connecting to the existing New Deer substation, enabling the project’s first phase to export power to the grid.
