The National HVDC Centre provided technical assurance, real‑time simulation and test support to de-risk operation of the Caithness–Moray HVDC link during delivery. Using replica control panels and RTDS simulation, the Centre simulated the converter stations, DC link and AC network to validate control strategies, interface behaviour and multi‑terminal interactions prior to and during commissioning. The service supported factory and site testing, operational validation and knowledge transfer for the multi‑terminal HVDC controls.
