Cable Repair

Following high‑voltage testing that identified a fault in the negative DC cable at approximately KP13, NKT carried out a cable repair and associated remediation activities in early 2018. Works included locating the fault, recovering and jointing replacement cable sections and associated rock placement or burial/peel‑out operations as required; an environmental appraisal was prepared to assess and manage impacts of the remediation works.
