Description
Boskalis was contracted by OWP Butendiek GmbH & Co. KG to supply, install and protect the wind farm’s 33 kV inter-array cable system, including post-lay burial. The scope covered installation of 86 individual infield cables (including redundancy cables), totalling approximately 90 km, with termination, testing and commissioning of the cable strings carried out using in-house resources. Installation was executed in summer 2014 using the cable-lay vessel Stemat Spirit with a separate trenching spread for burial.
