Description
ENGIE Fabricom was awarded a service contract by OWP Butendiek GmbH to perform a SCADA upgrade and provide a long-term SCADA Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the Butendiek offshore high-voltage substation (OHVS). The scope included upgrading the OHVS SCADA system from SICAM 230 to COPA-DATA’s Zenon platform to meet cyber security requirements (IEC 62443) and improve O&M performance. ENGIE Fabricom’s work covered SCADA and ICT server virtualisation, network equipment upgrades, enhanced backup/restore functionality, and upgrades to the meteorological system software. The upgrade was planned for execution between Q2 and Q4 2020, with a five-year SLA commencing in May 2020.
