On 18 December 2023, OWP Butendiek secured a second long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Swiss utility BKW Energie AG for 18% of the wind farm’s production, equivalent to over 200GWh annually. Together with an earlier October 2023 PPA, both starting in July 2024, the agreements contract about 80.5% of Butendiek’s total production capacity, leaving the remainder to be sold on the merchant market.
