At the Butendiek offshore wind farm in the North Sea west of Sylt, the offshore substation installation campaign included lifting and placing the topside onto its previously installed jacket foundation. According to the project’s installation timeline, the operation followed the installation and piling of the four-legged jacket. The heavy lift vessel Rambiz transported both the jacket and the topside to the site and carried out the lifts. Once positioned on the jacket, the offshore substation topside was welded to the foundation structure, completing the topside installation phase for the Butendiek substation.
