By 13 May 2015, Burbo Bank Extension had awarded an offshore substation contract to JVFI, with UK-based Atkins providing the substation design, and had also contracted Balfour Beatty and Jones Brothers for onshore substation construction and enabling works, securing key suppliers for the project’s electrical infrastructure.
