On 3 November 2021, funds managed by Greencoat Capital – Greencoat UK Wind plc and Greencoat Renewable Income LP – agreed to acquire a combined 25% equity stake in the 258 MW Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm from Danish pension fund PKA, with Greencoat UK Wind plc taking a 15.7% interest and Greencoat Renewable Income LP acquiring a 9.3% interest in the project located off the Wirral coast in North West England.
