Ørsted developed a new multi-million-pound operations and maintenance base at Kings Wharf (Birkenhead/Seacombe) to service both the Burbo Bank Extension and the neighbouring Burbo Bank offshore wind farms. The facility, which includes a storage warehouse, offices, welfare facilities and space for around 45 full-time staff, was planned for completion by mid‑2017 and is now built and used as the main hub for ongoing operations and maintenance of the projects.
