A notice to mariners issued in January 2014 stated that the jack-up Excalibur, supported by tug MTS Valiant, and the DP vessel Fugro Commander were expected on site for a further geotechnical ground investigation at the proposed Burbo Bank Extension, no later than 24 January 2014, to undertake deep boreholes with CPTs and shallow vibracores as part of the project’s second detailed geotechnical campaign.
