A parallel geotechnical campaign for Burbo Bank Extension started in October 2012, when Fugro Geoconsulting Limited executed deep borehole investigations, drilling nine boreholes to depths of approximately 45–60 m with downhole CPTs in the wind farm area to verify geological interpretations and support foundation design.
