Joint Venture Fabricom / Iemans, JVFI Belgium supplied the offshore substation (OSS) platform for the Burbo Bank Extension (BBW02) transmission assets during the construction phase. Under the OSS construction package, the JV was responsible for providing the fabricated topside and supporting jacket structure that form the main offshore substation platform for the OFTO grid connection in Liverpool Bay. Their scope covered delivery of the complete structural steel substation module to house high-voltage equipment and associated systems that connect the wind farm to the onshore transmission system.
