Ternan Energy

Ternan Energy provided engineering consultancy services to Buchan Offshore Wind to progress consenting and design development for the floating wind farm. The scope included anchor foundation screening and anchor concept design across multiple anchor options (driven anchor pile, suction anchor, drag anchor, and suction embedded plate anchor), installation assessments, and scour protection concept design, following DNV standards. Ternan Energy stated that its anchor sizing and installation requirements formed key inputs to the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment and supported Buchan’s offshore consents application. Ternan Energy also referenced earlier support to the Buchan team on onshore cable corridor and substation location studies.
