Jan De Nul will be responsible for the transportation, laying, and protection of the cable links (225 kV) for the Bretagne Sud project; Hellenic Cables will supply 390 km split into 150 km offshore and 240 km onshore.
Jan De Nul Luxemburg SA, in consortium with Hellenic Cables, signed a framework agreement with French TSO Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) for the “Bretagne Sud” offshore grid connection project off southern Brittany. Under this framework, Jan De Nul was responsible for the transportation, laying and protection of the high-voltage submarine cable links (225 kV) that will connect future offshore wind farms to the mainland grid, including the South Brittany floating wind projects and later extension capacity up to 750 MW. Cable deliveries were expected between 2028 and 2030.
