The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) granted Statnett a licence for new subsea power cables across the Inner Oslofjord, covering the 420 kV cable links including the Solberg–Brenntangen interconnector that reinforce electricity supply in central Eastern Norway.
