Asso.subsea announced the successful completion of a cable installation project in Croatia for contractor Končar on behalf of HOPS, which included replacing the existing 110 kV submarine cable system on the Brač–Hvar interconnector between Prapatna and Medvidbad with new 3×630 mm² submarine cables as part of a four‑system, ~30 km programme. The works covered transportation and laying of the new high‑voltage cables in water depths up to 70 m, fully renewing the old Brač–Hvar link within the southern section connecting the islands of Brač, Hvar and Korčula; subsequent HOPS documentation on energy and CO₂ savings confirms the replacement of the 110 kV Brač–Hvar cable had been carried out.
