Within the same 2018 Bozcaada offshore wind feasibility study, the authors analysed key siting constraints including water depth, coastline land use and proximity to residential and tourist areas. They noted that the southern side of Bozcaada hosts many residential areas and beaches, while the northern side has 20–30 m water depths and adjacent farmland, highlighting lower social and environmental constraints for development in the north.
