APEM provided environmental survey services for Thistle Wind Partners’ ScotWind projects, including Bowdun, covering bird and marine mammal baseline studies over a two-year period. The scope included aerial surveys using LiDAR-based monitoring techniques to measure bird flight heights and track marine wildlife movements and behaviour, generating data intended to inform project design and support the Environmental Impact Assessment and offshore consenting submissions.
