On 23 September 2025, Bowdun, the 1 GW ScotWind fixed-foundation offshore wind project off Stonehaven, formally launched its Supply Chain Pathways Programme in Aberdeen. Led by Thistle Wind Partners and delivered with DEME Offshore, the initiative pre-qualifies Scottish firms—many from the oil and gas sector—for future work on Bowdun and other DEME projects, aiming to unlock about £1 billion of supply chain opportunity and support long-term local participation in the offshore wind market.
