On 26 March 2024, Thistle Wind Partners (TWP) awarded Ramboll a pre-FEED (front-end engineering design) contract for the foundations of the 1 GW Bowdun offshore wind farm in Scotland. Ramboll will develop jacket substructure concepts for turbines in water depths up to around 70 metres and prepare offshore substation foundation concepts, including geotechnical sensitivity assessments, to inform later FEED, fabrication, transport, and installation planning for Bowdun and the related Ayre project.
