OEG’s subsea team was contracted by Nexans to perform pre-lay grapnel runs (PLGR) on the nearshore section of the BorWin6 cable system ahead of the cable laying campaign for TenneT’s BorWin6 offshore grid connection. The scope included grapnel runs to clear debris and prepare the cable corridor in shallow/intertidal waters, using specialist vessels, survey equipment, specialist grapnels, and project management and survey personnel, supporting cable installation readiness in the Wadden Sea area.
