Description
Mammoet was contracted as heavy-lift specialist for the BorWin6 offshore HVDC platform fabrication programme, working at McDermott's Jebel Ali yard in the UAE. Scope included transport, loadout and mooring of the 5,461-tonne offshore jacket foundation for the BorWin kappa converter platform (completed February 2026), and earlier in 2025 moved the topside module from its construction position to an interim staging area at the fabrication yard. Mammoet is also preparing for the forthcoming ~17,000-tonne topside lift and loadout challenge.
