C-EPRI Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (CEPRI) participated as the engineering execution partner in the consortium contract awarded by TenneT to McDermott for BorWin6, alongside its sister SGCC entity GEIRI (Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute). GEIRI/C-EPRI combined scope covered engineering, manufacture, supply, installation supervision and commissioning of the HVDC system for both the offshore and onshore converter stations of the 980 MW 320 kV BorWin6 grid connection. GEIRI and C-EPRI are both subsidiaries of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC); GEIRI is the research arm focused on UHV/HVDC R&D and C-EPRI Electric Power Engineering is the engineering-and-construction subsidiary. For this project the two function as a single consortium party — this role record consolidates them, anchored to C-EPRI as the execution entity. The previous duplicate GEIRI role (69c53937ad22e3c696a8ff3f) was removed during manual audit review.
