DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): No public evidence that nearshore cable installation for TenneT's BorWin6 export cable system started in early 2025, and UXO survey only completed on 2025-12-31 so cable lay could not begin by 2025-01-01. Developer planning (NEP 2037/2045, commissioning 2027) implies cable installation still expected; shifting this start to mid-2026 as a realistic window before 2027 commissioning based on typical 12–18 month lead time between nearshore cable lay and full HVDC system commissioning. --- Asso.subsea signed a contract with Nexans to transport, install, and protect the nearshore section of the 320 kV DC export cable system for TenneT’s BorWin6 HVDC grid connection, including work in very shallow waters and the Waddenzee using the DP2 cable-laying vessel Atalanti and a Hydroplough burial tool. Marine cable installation operations for this nearshore section are scheduled to be executed during 2025.
