In September 2018, the topside of the BorWin gamma offshore HVDC converter platform for the 900MW BorWin3 grid connection was transported by heavy lift vessel from Dubai to the installation site in the North Sea, around 130km off Borkum, and installed on its jacket foundation as part of Petrofac’s EPC scope for TenneT.
