The NOR‑6‑1 (BorWin1) grid connection, linking the BorWin Alpha offshore converter platform to the 380 kV Diele onshore converter/substation via approximately 125 km of submarine cable and 75 km of underground cable, was commissioned in 2010 as a 400 MW, ±150 kV HVDC link operated by TenneT to connect the BARD Offshore 1 wind farm and nearby projects to the German power grid.
