Design, supply, termination and testing of >150 km of 66 kV XLPE inter-array submarine cables (combined for Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3) under a contract above €60 million.
Prysmian Group was awarded a contract by Ørsted to design, supply, terminate, and test 66 kV XLPE-insulated inter-array submarine cable systems for the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms in the German North Sea. The scope covered the 66 kV Copper/XLPE array cables and associated accessories, plus cable storage prior to load-out and offshore termination and testing activities. Prysmian stated the contract value was above €60 million and the combined cable supply was more than 150 km for the two projects, connecting wind turbines to the respective offshore platforms (offshore substation platform at Gode Wind 3 and an Offshore Converter Station for Borkum Riffgrund 3).
