Following an EU tender, Ørsted awarded strategic volume contracts to Bladt Industries and Steelwind Nordenham to manufacture 107 XXL monopile foundations for its German offshore wind farms Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3, with monopiles up to about 100 m long, nearly 10 m in diameter and around 1,200 tonnes to support Siemens Gamesa 11 MW turbines.
