By December 2024, Jan De Nul Group's heavy-lift installation vessel Les Alizés had completed the offshore installation of all 107 XXL monopile foundations across the combined Borkum Riffgrund 3 and Gode Wind 3 campaign in the German North Sea, ending Les Alizés' first installation project. Borkum Riffgrund 3 received 83 of these 107 monopiles — one per turbine; no offshore-substation foundation was needed because the project uses a direct 66 kV connection to TenneT's DolWin epsilon (DolWin5) offshore converter platform. The monopiles, up to ~100 m long and ~10 m in diameter and weighing up to ~1,500 t, were fabricated by Steelwind Nordenham and Bladt Industries (renamed CS WIND Offshore following CS Wind's December 2023 acquisition). Ørsted's Q1 2026 investor presentation confirmed "all foundations and turbines installed" with degree of completion above 95%.
