Description
Van Oord deployed its cable-laying vessel Nexus to install the inter-array subsea cables at Ørsted’s Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The scope comprised laying a total of 110 km of cable within the wind farm to connect the 56 wind turbines to the offshore substation; installation was reported as starting in April 2018 and expected to be completed during summer 2018.
